“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others.” - Nelson Mandela

How simply these words by Mr. Mandela sum up our vast journey at the Agri Meet Foundation. But what holds larger significance for me is the way the world has changed.

Ms. Shreya Tiwari is an educationist, philanthropist, teacher, and businesswoman, patron of Agri Meet Group, Founder Chairperson and President of Agri Meet Foundation and President of Agriculture Innovation and Farmer Welfare Society.

In my own words Agri Meet is not just a foundation for me, it is a way of expressing my gratitude to the farmer’s that has given me so much love and respect in the field of agriculture. I have always felt that it is my duty to give back to society. While setting up the foundation I met a lot of farmers and agriculture students who shared my vision for an ideal society and wanted to bring about real positive change.

Farmers have been on the boil in India for some years now. More than half of Indians work on farms, but farming accounts for barely a sixth of the country's GDP. Declining productivity and lack of modernization have long hobbled progress. Plot sizes are shrinking, as are incomes from farming. Prices can be wildly erratic and middlemen form cartels and gobble up much of the profits. The anger over injustice to farmers was brewing; the Foundation aims to bring genuine happiness in farmer’s lives.

AMF is organizing workshop and training program, symposium, short term courses, farm advisory services, summits on different burning and challenging issue at National and International level, exchange of academic or scientific materials and publications of common interest. It is also delivering support and services to educators, researchers and farmers around the world.

We thank them all and pledge to make a difference by infusing goodness in everything that we do. “Be loyal with Agriculture”.
